In1973, my dad, Albert Boyer, was looking for a breed of cattle to add muscle, calving ease, and heterosis to his Hereford based herd. After much research, he decided on the Limousin breed. The results were more than he had hoped, with heavier calves at weaning, improved feed efficiency, and top dollar at all phases of the cattle market.
I recognized the benefits of the Limousin breed and continued what my father had started, a family tradition of breeding top quality cattle. Through a tough culling process, you will have a tough time finding a more functional herd of Limousin cattle, whether in the pasture or on the plate.
Now, the third generation of Boyer Limousin is continuing the tradition of quality, functional cattle, and is pursuing the endeavor of top shelf grain or grass fed choice beef. Aside from our top of the line breeding stock, we focus on prime feeder cattle as well. Whether you're looking to stock your freezer with the well marbled meat from a grain fed steer, or if you're looking for the tender leanness of grass fed beef, we can work with you to give you what you want. We mainly sell either full, half, or quarter beef with your specifications on what cuts of steak, roasts, and burger you are trying to get out of it.
